Description

Public health nursing, health promotion, and the nursing process - as applied to diverse communities and populations -are studied using a variety of traditional and non- traditional settings. Environmental health, epidemiology, public health care systems, and health care policy will be discussed. Students will address identified needs and education of populations across the lifespan, collaborate with other health care professionals, make referrals, and participate in health promotion activities. Clinical practice experiences are provided in a variety of traditional and non-traditional care settings. Prereq: NUR 401, 402, 411, 412 with a grade of C or better
