Description
Exploration of the major issues and trends facing the nursing profession and synthesis of legal and ethical principles that guide professional nursing practice within the context of the Christian perspective. Inclusion of an examination of political forces that influence change in contemporary healthcare using a systems-based practice approach. Historical, philosophical, and social development of professional nursing and strategies for nursing professionals to increase its value to society and improve its public image will be analyzed. Prereq: NUR 400 or consent of the instructor.
