Description
Practical experience in a K-12 school setting prior to the student teaching semester. Students spend a minimum of 15 hours weekly assisting and teaching in a range of cross-curricular instructional activities with a focus on content area instruction, classroom management, and familiarity with the curriculum, cooperating teacher, students and classroom culture. Students take this practicum as part of the residency program as a bridge to teacher candidacy.
