Description

Victimology is the scientific study of victims. The main focus is upon victims of crime, and how they suffer financially, emotionally, and physically during and after a crime. This course will also specifically concentrate on social factors and their relationship to crime victimization, as well as their interaction with members of the criminal justice field (i.e. police officers, courts, etc.) The course will also examine shared responsibility, and recent attempts to include victim’s participation in our criminal justice system.
