Selected topics in Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometries, Hilbert's axioms and neutral geometry, hyperbolic geometry, historical perspectives, philosophy of mathematics. Emphasis on the role and independence of the parallel postulate. Prereq: MAT 230 or MAT 231
