Description

In-depth focus on the mechanisms, regulation and function of striated muscle metabolism and contraction with emphasis on performance and adaptation in both normal and pathological situations. Cellular and molecular adaptations to physical activity and inactivity are covered. Athletic injury and recovery and other conditions tha impact muscle function are studied. 3 lec, 2 hrs lab. Prereq: CHE101 or CHE161 and BIO225.
